The Lalor Unit was a renovation project for McCallum Disability Services existing day centre in Ballarat. The project featured the redesign of two accessible bathrooms and a communal space to accommodate toilets, a fully accessible bathroom (complete with hoist) and change table facilities to ensure it was AS1428 compliant. The building’s façade also underwent a face-lift, clad with ship-lapped spotted gum.
